Channel switch is a tad slow, but not too bad. Unplug your Freecom wait 10 seconds then plug in back into the same USB port, it will now find the driver for the missing component and all should be well. Its probably not necessary, but its a nice check to see if Windows does not installs the driver automatically. The Yakumo tv viewer application is much nicer than the Freecom one, so that’s one reason right there to switch to the BDA drivers. Give it a go. Whenever I try to view a channe gbpvr crashes, I assume this is due to a wrong setting in the ini file.
I thought It might frrecom because I have only mb ram on my C-m 1. I’ve encountered this problem with an MSI dvb-t stick.
Wireless Drivers Installed the latest intel vista ones: It went fine after the reinstall but this was using the Freecom drivers as at that stage i did not know about the BDA driver issue.

I suspect it’s feecom old intel driver which isn’t compatible. PhatblokeDecember 20, Also, you might also want to try and get it working with the Yakumo BDA drivers I posted one link to a forum thread above as the software in general is nicer than the Freecom stuff.
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit. Had to install do the install twice in safe mode.

After the install, plugin the USB stick. Dec 25, Posts: SabrehawkFebruary 6, Dec 27, at It’s worth installing as it allows to make sure your FreeCom device is working and it’s actually much better than the original Freecom software. It sounds like your signal is too strong and is overloading the dvb-T sticks very basic amplifier ie it can’t reduce the signal enough so its clipping. I would recommend buying another brand, as support requests that aren’t ignored by Freecom are unlikely to be answered vreecom a satisfactory manner. February 6, I had to scan for channels after completing the setup wizard cause there it was not looking for DVB-T only for cable and antenna. Recently bought a laptop and an external HDD.

Does anyone have any ideas? Ken Turner July 29, December 23, My Freecom DVB-T stick works perfectly when attached to the rooftop aerial, but is jerky when using the supplied one.
I have run the test in other PC’s with the same result. Rather interestingly if I go through the “Live TV” link I get the same message about video files missing. Frescom Center didn’t go well, but with DVDs not playing though there and being fine with Media Player and cyberlink it seems to all go bsa to the video drivers being incompatible with Media Center rather than the Freecom device itself.
I wish I’d never got involved.
